My name is Susan “PoshMama” Coghlan, and I’m a single mom and widow who lives in Columbia, MD with two teenagers and two dogs. I have a professional background in event planning, marketing communications, and graphic design and can seriously get lost in the details of anything that allows me to fire up my imagination. I left my life in corporate America when my daughter was born in 2003 and was a stay-at-home mom for nearly 10 years. I loved being home with my children and remain grateful that my late husband provided for us so that I could. Even though staying home with my children when they were young was exactly what I wanted, I missed the creativity of my working days. Thankfully, the internet made it possible for me to find opportunities to use the non-mom parts of my brain and I did freelance writing for a variety of industries, used my basic graphic design and marketing skills to learn how to design WordPress websites, and did what I could to keep the non-mom part of me awake.
I joined Perfectly Posh in January 2015 after discovering the products. As an eternal skeptic who researches most claims of amazingness to death, I tried a gazillion products before I bought anything. I was curious because Posh does not use ingredients that make my skin itch and burn PLUS was budget friendly. I was quickly hooked.
It might sound a little dorky to say that the company and the products changed my life in significant ways, but it’s true. Like many women, I am not one to put myself first – EVER – and through Posh I am learning how special I am and how I am enough – every day – just as I am. I continue to redefine what it means to pamper. I can feel special and beautiful with an amazing smelling hand creme during the day when I want to be anywhere but in the carpool lane or a giant chunk bar with my morning shower. I bombed TWICE as an Independent Consultant for other companies and truly thought I was not made to succeed in one of “those businesses.”
But I took the leap, vowed to give it my all, and am now the Gold Premier leader of a growing team of amazing entrepreneurs who lift, build, empower, motivate, and encourage each other EVERY DAY. Through Posh, I am discovering the woman I was created to be and learning how to love and value myself just as I am. It is truly a joy to help others find their value and strength through hand cremes, soaps, lotions, and face masks.
YOU are important. YOU matter. YOU are enough, just as you are! #PoshMamaSaidSo
